The Windsor Way Residence embodies the primary characteristics of modern design but in a restrained, controlled, and thoughtful manner. The house is comprised of large, bold exterior elements expressed with clean and sharp lines, flat and shallow sloped rooflines, and timeless materials which include locally sourced cypress , steel, stucco, and glass. The placement of the house allows for ample setback from the street so that viewers can appreciate the entirety of the design while the existing treescape at the rear of the site provides an idyllic backdrop for the modern style. The front entry of the house presents an elevated plinth which implies that portions of the house seem to be gently floating above the front lawn.
